Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have developed an artificial intelligence model, known as a "knowledge graph," that can accurately predict which existing drugs may cause birth defects. By integrating data from various sources, including genetics, drug classifications, and cellular mechanisms, the model prioritized 30,000 preclinical small molecule drugs for their potential to induce birth defects.
