TL;DR

A possible measles exposure occurred at the Walgreens on Via Linda in Scottsdale on Sept. 9 between 8 a.m. and 10:25 a.m.; anyone in the store during that window should monitor for symptoms through Sept. 29, as measles can linger in the air up to two hours after an infected person leaves. A Valley resident tested positive and is believed to have been exposed while traveling out of the county. Symptoms include fever, red eyes, cough and runny nose; two-dose MMR vaccination is recommended and available year-round. Maricopa County has 28 measles cases this year.
