Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro are drugs used to treat type 2 diabetes, but they are also being used off-label for weight loss. Ozempic and Wegovy are the same medication, while Mounjaro is slightly different. Ozempic is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and to help prevent serious cardiovascular events, while Wegovy is FDA-approved for weight loss.
