Study suggests Long COVID impacts quality of life worse than advanced cancer, stroke, and Parkinson's.

A study led by researchers at University College London and the University of Exeter has found that long COVID can have a worse impact on health-related quality of life than some advanced metastatic cancers, such as stage 4 lung cancer, and can affect daily activities worse than stroke patients and comparable to people with Parkinson’s disease. Fatigue is the symptom with the greatest impact on the daily lives of long COVID patients. The study emphasizes the need to address the impact of long COVID on people’s health and ability to carry out day-to-day activities.
