Doctors are reporting a rise in emergency room visits due to the misuse of the prescription weight loss medication, Ozempic. The drug has gained popularity due to Hollywood stars taking it before red carpet events, but doctors warn that it has serious side effects and is meant to be used for a lifetime. Side effects include digestive problems such as diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. When used properly under a doctor's care, the serious side effects are a small percentage and no greater than any other medication.
