"WHO Investigates Mysterious Bird Flu Outbreak in Polish Cats"

Poland has reported a significant number of cats infected with bird flu, marking the first instance of a widespread outbreak in felines within a country, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Since last month, 29 cats have tested positive for H5N1 bird flu out of the 46 cats and one captive caracal tested. The source of the exposure is currently unknown, and investigations are ongoing. While the risk of human infection remains low, some cats have exhibited severe symptoms and died. This comes amid Europe's worst-ever outbreak of bird flu and a recent spike in infections in mammals.
