11-year-old girl among victims in fatal U.S. 23 crash in north Columbus.

The victims of a car crash that occurred on Tuesday morning in Columbus have been identified, including an 11-year-old girl who died at the scene. Elia M. Barbon was a passenger in a Kia Sportage that collided with a commercial tractor-trailer while attempting to make a left turn. The driver of the Kia was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while the tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries. Elia was a sixth-grade student at Perry Middle School, and her passing has left a void in the school community. A GoFundMe page has been created to help her parents with funeral expenses.
