Iowa 7th graders injured in hayride accident

Dozens of 7th graders from Sigourney, Iowa, were thrown off a hay rack ride on a gravel road, resulting in at least two hospitalizations. The incident occurred during a non-school-sanctioned event organized by parents, where alcohol was present. One student suffered multiple broken bones, including the pelvis and vertebrae, while another had broken bones in the ankle and leg.
