Iowa 7th graders injured in hayride accident
Dozens of 7th graders from Sigourney, Iowa, were thrown off a hay rack ride on a gravel road, resulting in at least two hospitalizations. The incident occurred during a non-school-sanctioned event organized by parents, where alcohol was present. One student suffered multiple broken bones, including the pelvis and vertebrae, while another had broken bones in the ankle and leg. The Keokuk County Sheriff's Office and Iowa State Patrol are investigating the accident, but no arrests have been made. Parents are frustrated by the lack of information from investigators.
