Deadly Louisiana Pileup on I-55: Fog and Smoke Cause Chaos

A series of multi-car pileups on Interstate 55 near New Orleans, Louisiana, resulted in two deaths and numerous injuries due to zero visibility caused by a combination of fog and smoke from ongoing wildfires in the area. The accidents involved tractor-trailers and other vehicles, with some vehicles catching fire.
