Police rescue bear trapped in car using long rope in Nevada

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office in northern Nevada used a long piece of rope to free a bear from a vehicle after residents called the department. Officers were able to safely free the trapped bear by pulling open the door from a distance. The bear jumped out of the vehicle and ran away across the streets of the quiet neighborhood. The incident serves as a reminder to be bear-aware when enjoying the beautiful outdoors and to dispose of trash inside bear-proof designated receptacles.
