DeSantis' Disney feud deemed "petty" by GOP sources.

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has countersued Disney over the company's control of the area around Disney World. The countersuit seeks to declare the Development Agreement and Restrictive Covenants void and enjoin Disney from enforcing them. This comes after Disney sued the governor and the board in April, alleging retaliation. DeSantis has been trying to strip Disney of its self-governing role over the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which was established in 1967 by Walt Disney himself. Disney has identified a "targeted campaign of government retaliation" against them.
