"Families Outraged as Uvalde Report Clears Officers in Shooting Tragedy"
TL;DR
An independent review commissioned by Uvalde city cleared local officers of wrongdoing in their response to the Robb Elementary School shooting, angering parents of the victims and city council members. The report identified training, communication, and leadership lapses but commended some officers' actions as in "good faith," contradicting previous audits by state and federal officials. Families and council members expressed disbelief and demanded more accountability, while a special grand jury continues to investigate law enforcement's delayed response.
