Six-year-old behind the wheel in East Oakland crash leaves woman critically injured

A 6-year-old boy was driving a Toyota Camry that swerved into oncoming traffic, struck another vehicle, and then hit a woman walking a dog in East Oakland. The woman is in critical condition; the two brothers, ages 6 and 4, were hospitalized in stable condition. The car belonged to their parents, who were unaware they had taken it. The crash occurred at 35th Avenue and Mangels in the Allendale district, and police are continuing to investigate with the parents cooperating.
