Police Pursuit Ends in Pedestrian Struck and Arrest of Carjacking Suspect
A stolen vehicle being pursued by Torrance police in California struck a woman, Maria Salazar, as she crossed the street. The suspect had allegedly been involved in two carjackings, prompting the pursuit. During the chase, a police officer rammed the suspect's vehicle, causing it to strike Salazar. Although she was not seriously injured, the suspect was arrested following a brief foot pursuit.
