"Florida Couple Passes Out Drunk, Leaving Children Alone on Beach: VCSO"

A Georgia couple was arrested in Florida after being found intoxicated and asleep on Daytona Beach while their young children were swimming unsupervised nearby. Deputies discovered empty beer cans, whiskey, and other open alcoholic beverages with the couple, who were in a "state of confusion" when awoken. The children, aged five and seven, were found swimming unsupervised in a nearby pool. The children's legal guardian, Timothy Stephens, is facing charges of child neglect and possession of alcohol on the beach, while his fiancé Alyssia Langley is also facing child neglect charges.
