26-year-old Alabama cold case solved: Headless body identified as California man.

A headless body found in Alabama over a quarter of a century ago has been identified as Jefferey Douglas Kimzy, a 20-year-old California resident. The victim's head, hands, and feet had been removed, making identification difficult. The case went cold until DNA technology company Parabon NanoLabs used DNA phenotyping to create a composite image of the victim, generating new leads. The sheriff's office now has persons of interest and is actively pursuing leads.
