29-hour Standoff Ends with Suspect in Custody

After a nearly 29-hour standoff, authorities have taken a suspect into custody in Gering, Nebraska. The standoff began when the suspect, identified as Bradley Garcia, barricaded himself inside a residence and fired at officers. He had taken two juvenile girls and a woman hostage, but eventually released the girls and the woman was released on Wednesday afternoon. Law enforcement, including specialized teams from the FBI and State Patrol, were present at the scene. The suspect suffered minor injuries, and the situation is now being "demobilized".
