ABC Investigative Journalist Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

Former ABC News investigative journalist, James Gordon Meek, pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges, admitting to illegally possessing and transporting child pornography. The investigation began after the FBI received a tip from Dropbox about videos showing the sexual abuse of children in an account associated with Meek. Agents found dozens of child pornography images and videos when they searched Meek's home, and evidence also indicated that he used Snapchat and other apps to pressure minors into sending him explicit images. Meek's lawyer unsuccessfully argued that the evidence was obtained illegally. He faces up to 40 years in prison and will be sentenced in September.
