Alleged Rape of Missing Teen at Camp Pendleton

A 14-year-old girl who was reported missing by her grandmother was found on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The teen's information was entered into missing person databases, and military police located her on June 28. The girl was interviewed and returned to her grandmother. The Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS) is handling the investigation, with support from the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force. A Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group was taken into custody for questioning. The identities of the girl and the Marine have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
