Arrest and Release: Woman Charged in Connection with Mika Westwolf's Death

Sunny Katherinne White has been charged with vehicular homicide, among other felonies, in connection to the death of Mika Josephine Westwolf, a 22-year-old Indigenous woman who was hit and killed while walking along a highway in Montana. White was arrested after her damaged vehicle was found near the scene, and she admitted to hitting a deer but claimed she didn't see it because she was passing a bottle to her baby. Two children were in the car with her at the time. Methamphetamine, syringes, and Narcan were found in her vehicle, and her blood sample tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl. The family of Mika Westwolf has been advocating for justice through the Mika Matters Movement, shedding light on the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.
