Arrest made in shooting death of Grant High School senior hours before graduation

A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Billy Scott, a graduating senior at Grant High School in Sacramento County. Scott was in a car with two others when someone in another car shot at them. Scott was shot in the leg and later died in the hospital. The sheriff's office has not released further details on the arrest. Scott's family still attended his graduation and were invited on stage to accept his diploma.
