The North Smithfield Police Department has released bodycam footage of an officer questioning Bryant University basketball coach Jared Grasso regarding an alleged hit-and-run crash. The officer visited Grasso's residence and found a damaged white SUV in his driveway. Grasso claimed the damage occurred at a restaurant and refused to go to the police department. The officer charged Grasso with leaving the scene of the accident, leading to an erratic and uncooperative response from the coach. Grasso's wife and lawyer were also involved in the conversation, and he was eventually arranged to turn himself in the next day. Grasso had been placed on leave prior to the incident, and an assistant coach will take over during his absence.
