Children's Book Author Charged with Husband's Murder After Writing About Grief

Kouri Richins, a Utah woman who wrote a children's book about grief after her husband's death, has been charged with his murder. Investigators allege that she killed her husband with a lethal dose of illicit fentanyl, which she had purchased from an acquaintance. Richins had just closed on a house for her business and brought her husband a celebratory cocktail before leaving to sleep with their son. She returned to find him dead. Richins remains in custody and her detention hearing is set for May 19.
