Craig Ross Jr. Indicted on Rape and Kidnapping Charges for Allegedly Abducting 9-Year-Old Girl in New York

Craig Ross Jr. has been charged with rape in addition to first-degree kidnapping after allegedly kidnapping a 9-year-old girl from Moreau Lake State Park in upstate New York. The girl was held hostage for two days before being rescued. Ross pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also include predatory sexual assault against a child, sexual abuse, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. The break in the case came after officers saw someone drop a ransom note in the girl's family mailbox, and fingerprints on the note matched Ross. He has been in jail without bail since his arrest.
