Dermatologist indicted for poisoning husband's tea with drain cleaner.

California dermatologist Yue "Emily" Yu has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly pouring liquid drain cleaner into her husband's tea. She faces three felony counts of poisoning and one count of domestic battery with injury. If convicted on all counts, she could face a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months. Yu's husband first contacted police in March 2020, saying he believed his wife was poisoning him. He provided detectives with video evidence supporting his suspicion. Yu's attorney said she will plead not guilty at a scheduled arraignment on April 18.
