Fatal Shooting During Tuscaloosa Police Traffic Stop Claims Passenger's Life

Tristan Decedric Clark, a 24-year-old resident of Tuscaloosa, was fatally shot by Tuscaloosa police during a traffic stop. The incident occurred when officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered that one of the occupants had outstanding warrants. As an officer attempted to remove the suspect from the vehicle, they noticed a gun in the suspect's waistband. A physical altercation ensued, during which Clark reached for the firearm. Despite commands to drop the weapon, Clark refused and was shot multiple times by an officer. The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney's Office.
