Fatal shootout on Virginia interstate after police chase and abduction.

A woman who was kidnapped in New York was killed in a shootout between her abductor and police on Interstate 95 in Virginia. The suspect, Michael C. Davis, had forced Tatiana N. David into a white Jeep Cherokee against her will. The vehicle was spotted by a state trooper in Fairfax County, Virginia, who attempted to stop it. The Jeep crashed and Davis began shooting at police, who returned fire. David was found dead outside the Jeep with an apparent gunshot wound, while Davis was critically injured. No police officers were injured in the incident.
