Florida man executed for murdering babysitter and single mother.

Duane Owen, who brutally murdered a teenage babysitter and a single mother in Florida in 1984, was executed by lethal injection after decades of appeals and insanity defenses. Family members of the victims, including the sister of the teenage babysitter, witnessed the execution. Some protestors held a vigil for Owen, claiming he was mentally ill and should not have been put to death. Owen had a last meal of a bacon cheeseburger without a bun, onion rings, strawberries, a vanilla milkshake, and cherry ice cream.
