Former Jan. 6 Prosecutor Arrested for Road Rage Stabbing in Tampa

Patrick Douglas Scruggs, a former U.S. Department of Justice prosecutor who worked on January 6 cases, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in a road rage incident on a bridge in Tampa, Florida. The altercation began when the victim slumped over in his car, causing traffic to stop. Scruggs, who was driving behind him, reportedly crashed into the victim's car and then stabbed him multiple times with a pocket knife. Scruggs also turned the knife on two good Samaritans who tried to intervene. The victim sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive. Scruggs has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and armed burglary. He was released on bond.
