Former Journalist Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

Former journalist James Gordon Meek has pleaded guilty to transportation and possession of child sexual abuse material. Meek used an online messaging platform to send and receive explicit images and videos of minors, including prepubescent children and infants being raped. He faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum penalty of 40 years. The FBI's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force is investigating the case, with assistance from the Arlington County Police Department. The sentencing is scheduled for September 29.
