Steinke testified that she did not know the patrol car was parked on the tracks, focusing instead on the potential threat posed by the suspect. The other officer involved in the incident, Pablo Vazquez, is also facing charges. The woman involved in the crash, Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, suffered a traumatic brain injury and is suing over her treatment.
