Video hints fatigue behind SF Muni empty-train crash
A video obtained by NorCal Bodycam appears to show a San Francisco Muni operator asleep just before two empty trains crashed into each other on July 31 near 47th Avenue and Wawona Street. The SFMTA has initially attributed the incident to operator fatigue, with no injuries reported and the investigation ongoing. This follows a prior similar incident that also led to fatigue-based findings and a fatigue-awareness campaign by the agency.
