Heroic Bystanders Prevent Arson Attack on MLK Jr.'s Birth Home

A 26-year-old woman was caught on video attempting to burn down the birthplace of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta. Off-duty NYPD officers detained the woman until Atlanta Police arrived, and she has been charged with criminal attempt arson and interference with government property. The historic property, managed by the U.S. National Park Service, was unharmed thanks to the intervention of bystanders and swift response from law enforcement.
