High-Speed Chase Prompts Closure of Downtown Greenville Roads

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is investigating a multi-county chase that ended in downtown Greenville, after a driver fired shots at deputies who attempted to stop their car. The suspect was eventually apprehended near Academy Street and College Street, and no deputies were injured. As a result of the incident, there are currently 12 road closures in downtown Greenville.
