Identity of Missing Woman Confirmed in Birmingham Homicide Investigation.

The burned body of Jermiera Ivory Fowler, a 31-year-old woman reported missing on Wednesday, was found in a wooded area in Birmingham, Alabama. Medical examiners determined that Fowler had sustained a gunshot wound. Fowler had reportedly left home to meet someone to make a purchase from Facebook Marketplace, but investigators cannot confirm this. No arrests have been made. Fowler is Birmingham’s 55th homicide this year, and there have been 75 homicides in all of Jefferson County.
