Joran van der Sloot to face arraignment in Natalee Holloway case.

Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway, has been extradited from Peru to the US to face charges of extortion and wire fraud. He is accused of attempting to extort $250,000 from Holloway's mother in exchange for disclosing the location of her daughter's body. Van der Sloot pleaded not guilty to the charges in his first court appearance in Birmingham, Alabama. He is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence in Peru for confessing to killing a Peruvian woman in 2010.
