Two people are dead and one person is injured after a shooting involving a Kansas City police officer near a McDonald's restaurant. The officer called for help and found five people near a white van, three of whom had been shot. The officer was unharmed, and investigators are working to determine what happened before the officer called for help and whether anyone else fired a gun. Two people were detained, and a handgun was found at the scene.
