Lisbon Man Convicted of Child Rape and Sexual Abuse

A 37-year-old man from Lisbon, New York, named Douglas Monroe, has been found guilty of sexually abusing a child over a period of 18 months. The jury convicted him of predatory sexual assault upon a child, first-degree sexual abuse, and two counts of second-degree rape. The assaults began when the child was 12 years old and continued after their 13th birthday. Monroe faces a maximum sentence of 46 years to life in prison and will be sentenced on September 25.
