Loaded gun found in substitute teacher’s backpack at Hialeah school, triggering arrest

Substitute teacher Chenelle Doctor, 27, of Hollywood, was arrested at Westland Senior High School in Hialeah after a loaded 9mm Walther handgun was found in her unattended backpack. The weapon had a chambered round and seven live rounds in a magazine, with an empty magazine also located. Doctor, employed by Kelly Services, allegedly forgot to remove the gun and was charged with possession of a firearm on school property, being held on a $2,500 bond.
