Louisiana man charged with shooting teen during hide-and-seek game

A man from Starks, Louisiana, was arrested for shooting a 14-year-old girl in the back of her head while she was playing hide-and-seek with several juveniles. The man claimed he saw shadows outside his home and began shooting at them, unknowingly hitting the girl. He was charged with aggravated battery, 4 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and the illegal discharge of a firearm. The girl was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering. Louisiana has a 'stand your ground law' that can justify the use of deadly force.
