Match.com Date Leads to Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot

A Tennessee woman, Melody Sasser, has been arrested for allegedly paying a hitman $10,000 in bitcoin to kill the wife of a man she met on Match.com. Sasser and the man had become hiking friends, but when he revealed he was moving out of state with the woman he planned to marry, Sasser allegedly turned to the dark web to hire a hitman. She posted her hit order on a website under the pseudonym "cattree" and provided the would-be killer with detailed information about her match's wife. Sasser is being held in custody on probable cause that she attempted murder for hire.
