Mother arrested after standoff with police in Wayne County following Amber Alert for missing 7-month-old.

A woman in Wayne County, Kentucky was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct, and kidnapping a minor after a standoff with police following an Amber Alert for a missing 7-month-old. The child was found unharmed and placed with a CHFS worker. The mother had refused to open the door to police, but after negotiations, the child was physically removed from her. The woman is currently awaiting arraignment and a temporary removal hearing will be held for the child.
