Mothers charged with fentanyl-related deaths of young children.

A Detroit mother has been charged with felony murder, first-degree child abuse, and delivery of a narcotic-causing death in connection with the death of her 4-year-old son from fentanyl. The boy died in 2022, and an autopsy found fentanyl in his system. The cause of his death was ruled indeterminate at the time. The mother turned herself in to authorities on Friday and is being held without bond. If convicted, she faces up to life in prison.
