Mothers Charged with Murder in Fentanyl-Related Child Deaths

A Detroit mother has been charged with murder after her 4-year-old son died from fentanyl more than a year ago. Chavon Caprice Boone is accused of giving her son drugs while they were alone in the child’s bedroom, causing him to go into cardiac arrest. Boone turned herself in for her son’s murder and has been charged with felony murder, first-degree child abuse, and delivery of a narcotic causing death. She was arraigned and remanded to jail.
