Multiple Police Shootings Leave Several Injured and One Dead in Richmond

A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot by a Richmond police officer who was investigating a car crash. The person shot was holding a knife and approached the officer during the interaction. The officer who fired the gun has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. The two people involved in the collision were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
