"Murdered Nebraska Priest's Past Revealed: Criminal History and Service in Area Towns"

The Rev. Stephen J. Gutgsell, a priest with 39 years of service, was assaulted and killed during a break-in at the St. John the Baptist rectory in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. He had previously served in various parishes across Northeast and North Central Nebraska, including Omaha, O'Neill, West Point, Aloys, Humphrey, and Blair. Funeral arrangements are pending.
