Passenger fatally shoots pickup truck driver on East Sam Houston Tollway.

A man was shot and killed by his passenger inside a pickup truck on the East Sam Houston Tollway in Harris County, Texas. The driver was suspected of being intoxicated and struck a concrete barrier before deputies noticed the armed passenger and called for backup. The passenger, a Hispanic male in his mid-20s to early-30s, was taken into custody. The driver sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident appears to have happened inside the vehicle and was not a road rage incident.
