TL;DR

Elias Diaz, the suspect in a series of knife attacks on a Philadelphia park trail, is believed to be the notorious "Fairmount Park Rapist" responsible for several cold case rapes and a murder dating back to 2003. Diaz was arrested after three people were attacked by a knife-wielding cyclist on the Pennypack Trail. Law enforcement sources have linked Diaz to the DNA evidence from the previous cases, and the victims' descriptions match his appearance.
