Porterville confrontation ends with deputy dead and suspect slain after eviction standoff

During an eviction service in Porterville, Tulare County Sheriff's Office Detective Randy Hoppert was shot and killed; the suspect, 59-year-old David Morales, died hours later after a confrontation with armored vehicles following an hours-long standoff.
